Slightly annoying

As you can see, I’ve migrated the blog to the new Wordpress 2.3 release. There’s still work to do and you should expect to see the theme bouncing around a bit until I land on one I am satisfied with. This one will do for now.

I ran into one particularly annoying snag on the migration. I found that using Firestats for both Gallery and Wordpress causes a problem when the the wpg2 plugin is used. There is a ticket on the Firestats project site that shows something similar but they make reference to a 1.0.2 version of the Gallery plugin and I can’t seem to find where that version is. The only one I can see is the 1.0.0 version. The error you get when this happens looks like:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare fs_override_base_url()
(previously declared in /var/www/ablog/wp-content/plugins/firestats-wordpress.php:90)
in /usr/share/gallery2/modules/firestats/module.inc on line 108

Now I’ll have to track that sucker down and get it in place.
