Life et al.

It’s been really slow posting this year. When I look back over the last couple of months and I see only two posts it gets a bit depressing. Not to say that life itself if depressing but rather the opposite. I have a great new Job that I am absolutely loving and the family life continues to go on and accelerate at a break neck pace.

The pace of life has a direct relationship to the girls and their social activities as the days move onwards. Madison has always had a highly active “Play with Friends” demand but of late Sarah is also starting to exhibit this. I suppose that this is a good thing and the fact that they are making friends is always good. I know that Sarah in particular probably has a rather extensive friends list from all of her time spent on Gaia. That in itself is causing its share of problems as she tends to get locked into that whole work to the exclusion of all else and that had caused its own share of grief.

Shirley has started school now and is busily studying and completing a number of assignments with me proof-reading/assisting as I can. This is also true for the other girls as well. Every day arriving home means checking homework and making sure that the homework is making its way back into school bags so as not to be forgotten the next day.

Sad to say that I haven’t had much occasion to shoot much these days. The winter has been lack luster at best this year with few inspiring moments. Then again, perhaps my own rushed pace of life is precluding my ability to slowdown and notice anything. I usually find that a slow a steady outlook really does help in finding inspiration. I hope that the forthcoming trip this July will provide me with some good opportunities on that front.

I also got my own monitor calibrator. This is a real boon in helping to get the most out of the image management and workflow tools that I use with my photography. Now I just need to dive into that HUGH pile of photos that I have in the back log. Also, I need to get on track with archiving all of them and moving them onto the new FreeNAS box that I just built.

* phew * well that’s enough for now… Don’t want to over exert myself…

    Wow! Talk about a voice from the past!! Well, never let it be said that I fail to deliver watch for the post on the paper airplane! The lounge site looks cool! My brother does similar work. He’s still there in Calgary. Should get some photos of the lounge with the acts onto the site!
